Edwards SCARES ABC News into a SMEAR!

This is very short, and I apologize, but Edwards scares the MSM and the Establishment. He scares them a lot!
Earlier today, I saw yet another story about the hair in The Politico. Can you believe it?
Hair today, gone tomorrow

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. -- It is the haircut that will not die.
He can spin it, he can gel it, he can mousse it. But it is not going away.

It's not going away if you you can help it, Mr. Simon!
BUT IT GETS WORSE!
Now the attacks are starting over the Ad!
According to Rick Klein and ABC NEWS:
http://abcnews.go.com/...
Edwards Campaign Ad Presents Washington Insiders as 'We the People'
John Edwards' first television advertisement, "We the people," demands that Congress confront the president over the Iraq War, with a succession of ordinary-looking faces and voices appearing on camera pleading with lawmakers not to back down.
But "We the people" is more K Street than Main Street, it turns out.
At least two of the nine people the Edwards campaign included in the ad are Washington-based political professionals. One is a Democratic political consultant, and the other is a top fundraiser for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay and lesbian advocacy organization.
Eric Schultz, a spokesman for the former North Carolina senator and 2008 presidential candidate, said the ad features "friends of the Edwards campaign" who live in Washington because that's where the ad was filmed.
They all volunteered to appear on camera, and none were paid for their services, he said.
More K Street than Main Street? The Human Rights Campaign? TeamBlue Politics, Inc.? A Democratic Hill staffer? Yep, I bet they go visit Jack Abramoff with cookies in hand. What a joke! In truth it's not at all funny when ABC News attacks and labels people who only want Bush's war to end, and chose to step forward.
According to Wikipedia, a reliable source in this matter:
The K Street Project is an effort by the Republican Party to pressure Washington lobbying firms to hire Republicans in top positions, and to reward loyal GOP lobbyists with access to influential officials. . . .
The project is named for K Street in Washington, D.C., where the largest lobbying firms have their headquarters. Lobbyists are, in some circles, referred to as the "fourth branch of government," as some have great influence in U.S. national politics due to their monetary resources and the "revolving-door" practice of hiring former government officials.

This is as pathetic a smear as I have seen. Worse than anything to date in my opinion. To me it shows just how much the MSM wants to destroy John Edwards.
There are important issues facing America. The news media has an important platform from which to speak. With that platform comes responsibility.
I hope readers take offense of the obvious trivialization of this public platform. Rather than addressing things of real substance, like Iraq, like poverty, like the real concerns of people, it too often takes the easy way and glibly focuses on a "gotcha" matter. In this case ABC News goes after John Edwards and real people, regular people, who chose to exercise their right of free speech, without pay, as if they were K Street lobbyists.
So I ask, for what purpose was this written, this "news" story? In my editorial opinion, ABC has done a disservice to us yet again, abused the important process that it pretends to engage in, and endeavors to mortally wound John Edwards, a man who will address the inequities of corporatism that ABC News and K Street belong to.
Here's ABC News's information. If you agree, have at it!
